I’ll be at Foothills United Methodist Church with my daughter, Emily Weeks, on October 13th to kick off their “Women at the Well” monthly gathering. Read below for more information!

CALLING ALL WOMEN! Bring a friend and join us for the new season of Women at the Well on Monday, October 13. Author and musician, Dr. Gail Bones, will be our speaker for the evening. Gail’s program is entitled “Living Crosswise: Hope and Help for Navigating Transition.” She often co-writes songs with her daughter, Emily Weeks, who will also be joining us to share her talents.
Times of transition regularly challenge us. Dr. Bones will share insights about how we can find God’s power to chart our course and move forward. Women of all ages will find her unique presentation of original music, Bible teaching, and practical wisdom relevant and engaging.
We will be gathering at our new time: 5:30 for fellowship followed by a catered dinner at 6:00. You may sign up on the patio after first and second service, September 28, and October 5, or mail your reservations to the church by Wednesday, October 8. The cost is $15. Please write “Women at the Well” on your check and the envelope and include the names of guests. When making seating requests, table lists and checks must be sent in together.
Women at the Well is a cross-generational, monthly gathering of women who meet for spiritual enrichment and fellowship. They meet the second Monday of each month From October to May at 5:30 p.m. in King Hall. The evening includes a delicious catered dinner, music, a Wellspring presentation (personal faith sharing), and a professional speaker or program. The program is designed to meet the spiritual needs of today’s women, no matter where they are in life. Meet new friends or just have a great night out! Childcare is available at no cost. Reservations and payment for the dinner and speaker are required prior to each presentation in order to plan appropriate food and seating.
